About The Farm

A long and winding road is often the best path in life. That is the story of how these two sisters ended up in western Kentucky, owning a farm and creating beautiful things. Debbie was born in Washington DC and Tammy was born in central Virginia to a father who could find adventure and wonder anywhere. Which is where they feel they inherited their need to be closer to the land and experience new things.

After years of working in the city and fighting epic traffic jams, both decided that a simpler (but not really simple!) life was what they needed. Debbie has always found her happiest moments in the soil and embraces the life of a farmer. Tammy has discovered a formerly unknown love of crafts and has added that to her photography and writing. Debbie and Tammy learn every day and improve their knowledge and skills. The farm is improving each year and the flowers and vegetables are growing healthy and vibrant under the ever changing Kentucky skies. This is a true family farm and the love and devotion shows in the finished product that represents Boxcroft Garden & Designs.
